Alfred Zoff was born on December 11, 1852 in Graz. The landscape painter studied at the University of Graz and at the same time Alfred Zoff was a pupil of Hermann von Königsbrunn at the Landeskunstschule. He then studied at the Vienna Academy and at the Akademie in Karlsruhe under Eduard von Lichtenfels and Gustav Schönleber. He lived successively in Munich, Krems on the Danube, and Vienna. His studies took him to Italy and Holland. Zoff has received numerous national and international awards, including the Silver State Medal at the International Jubilee Exhibition in Vienna. He was a member of the Künstlerhaus and the Hagenbundes. Alfred Zoff passed away on the 12th of August 1927 in Graz.
