HAUSNER XENIA

Xenia Hausner was born in Vienna in 1951. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Since 1992 she has been working as a freelance painter and taught for several years at the Salzburg Summer Academy. Her paintings portray the precise observation of her opposite with a free and dynamic attitude. In her paintings new life contexts and fictive situations are created in which interpersonal relationships, defined by her social and political environment, take priority. Xenia Hausner's works are represented in numerous exhibitions, such as the Essl Museum Klosterneuburg, Gallery Belvedere Vienna, Forum Gallery New York, Shanghai Art Museum, Käthe Kollwitz Museum Berlin, and many more.
